Hey hey its that time of year again!! Christmas time!! So we are planning a ball, hopefully all can attend. I will start the thread in the cafeteria (revamped of course) on the 22nd and go until january 1st. so that should give us all time to get some good convos. Well see ya on the dance floor.

Name: Wesley Slippencott
Age: 16
Character Gender: male
Race: half human, half demon (but no one knows about his darker half)
Personal power: Wesley hasn’t discovered any of his powers yet. He only got into the school because “he has great potential which should be channeled in the right direction.” He will develop control over the air and transfiguration. Under proper guidance, He’ll also develop dark magic. Right now, he has very faint seer powers, but they are so seldom that people excuse them for dreams and coincidences. He hangs in a delicate balance where he could end up on the good side or the evil side.
Companion: Mother wouldn’t let him have any pets. She said they were dirty and diseased. But Wesley found one anyway. He found a tiny blue dot, otherwise resembling a gnat, which spends most of its time whispering into Wesley’s ear. He named it Nate; Nate the gnat. But there’s a problem. Nate is growing. Soon, he won’t fit in Wesley’s ear anymore. And soon, he won’t be invisible to the rest of the world. If mother ever finds out, she’ll be furious. But who’s going to tell her from Ballarts?
Appearance: Picture Draco Malfoy from Harry Potter and you are getting close to what Wesley looks like. He’s a straight up kid with perfectly combed white-blonde hair and ice blue eyes that tend to pierce. He doesn’t mean for them to, though. He’s rather thin, though he wouldn’t mind someone teaching him how to buff up. He wants to train in weapons us, martial arts, and weight lifting, just as long as they don’t mess with his perfect appearance. Nothing about his appearance would lead you to believe he’s part demon, which is one reason no one knows.
Behaviors: His mother was a neat freak and he never knew his father. She spent many an hour each day training Wesley to be neat, tidy, and well presented. He’s afraid of anything dirty. He approaches dirt with timidness and disgust. When it approaches him, he jumps away. His mother never told him that his father was a demon, but he can feel an internal battle between good and evil inside of him. Most of the time, when it is time to form an opinion for good or bad, he wrestles with it in his head but only makes an indifferent comment. Any influences from good or evil will help to develop his opinions and actions. For the most part, when anyone sees him now, they see him standing with hands casually folded in front of or behind him, or seated stiffly eating or studying. He spends most of his time in the library so he doesn’t have to check out books and get caught studying demons and the rest of the races. Oh, right now, he’s not sure why he is interested in demons. While he is still at Ballarts, he will start to receive letters from a demon claiming to be his father, which will answer many of Wesley’s personal questions about himself.
History: Wesley never knew his father, and Ms. Slippencott never liked to talk about him. She would almost always dodge his questions, not even divulging the deepest secrets about him. His father was a demon, and he raped Ms. Slippencott in what was the longest, most painful and confusing night of her life. After it was over, she moved far from L.A. to a small town on the Island formerly known as Australia. And when she found out she was pregnant, she bought a little house and determined to raise her demon son as a good little human boy. She had no idea what to expect. But she was glad when he was born he looked completely human. Otherwise, she’d have had to keep the promise she’d made to herself to kill it if it looked demonesque. But it was born looking completely human, and she named him Wesley. Ms. Slippencott was very careful who her son talked to and played with. Only 100% human children could interact with her son. She would not have them influence him for evil. However, that also meant no one influencing him for Good. She only influenced him toward obedience to her. This was very successful. He had few friends growing up, and most of them were short-lived friendships for one reason or another. His most memorable occurred when he was eight. Billy Bowhead was a redheaded boy just as pasty as Wesley. At first, Mother would not let them play together. Suddenly, she changed her mind and Wesley could not figure out why. However, he took full advantage of the opportunity and the two became best friends. However, six months later, Billy died. Mother had found out that Billy had a rare and untreatable form of cancer. This and other similar incidences are part of the reason Wesley never developed a definite sway toward good or evil. Then came puberty. His brain started to change: he could see things that started coming true. But they were so few and so vague that most people excused them as coincidences. His body started to change. That is not strange for any boy of any race, but his changes were a little more extreme than other human boys. Instead of just an enlarging penis and descending testicles, his penis began to grow large veins and rotating burrs on it (much like Dai’s from his one post.). These scared Wesley. He knew he’d have to keep them a secret, but he also wants to try them out. He experiments with them in private, much to his shame, but has never used them on another individual. He now knows how to control the speed and size of the veins and burrs and can’t wait to find out what else he can do and where these strange developments came from.

Name: Mrs. Robert Short, Blabina
Age: 43 Character Gender: female Race: Human Subject: A mixture of science and biology classes, especially anything taught in the greenhouse. Personal power: control over water and earth as well as telekinesis. None of these powers are particularly strong, but you can’t say they’re weak either. She loves combining all three powers in a bit of a dance and show when she’s alone in the greenhouse. Companion: Blabina’s companion is one of her own making. She calls it Eva, because it was the first of its kind, and it was made from many different parts. Eva is part venous flytrap which allows it to move many parts. It is part Spanish moss, so it does not need dirt or grow roots. It also has many vining parts. When in bloom, Eva produces a fragrant, colorful blossom. However, this does not last more than just a couple of months. Eva has no mouth, so it cannot talk to Blabina. It has no feet, so it cannot walk, though when in danger, it can wriggle its way to safety. Most of the time, Eva hides on Blabina somewhere. It is very mischievous, so it often pops up at random moments. It also shares many of the same feelings of Blabina. For instance, when Blabina walks away in an angry huff at someone, Eva will pop out and stick its “tongue” out. If someone is hurting it or Blabina with or without knowing it, Eva will snap its vines at them. When someone is telling a joke and Blabina is laughing, Eva will pop up and begin “laughing” with them. (It cannot make sounds because it doesn’t have a mouth.) Sometimes it just pops out to scare Blabina or someone else. In the greenhouse, Eva willingly removes itself from Blabina and mingles with the other plants. It especially loves the colorful ones, but enjoys “hanging out” with the other motorplants.
Appearance: Dark red hair, almost auburn that tends to fly away from her tidy up-do; vibrant green eyes that almost seem to have golden stars tattooed onto them; pinched nose and thin, round mouth. Chubby cheeks, double chin, large flouncy breasts and a protruding abdomen and bottom. She wears makeup, but it tends to be just a little smudged. She paints her nails, but often, there are tiny chips missing. All of her clothes are bright and colorful and feature some sort of image relating to plants or gardening. She almost always wears dresses. Any pants she wears are very flowing like dresses. She also wears heals much of the time, though she has gardening clogs she can slip over them. When doing something messy, she may put on a flowery apron. She never wears gardening gloves because, “I need to feel my work and my babies. How can I lavish them properly with those bulky things on?” She does not look her age because of the many plants she’s able to make and control.
Behaviors: Although she is large and animated, she is surprisingly graceful. She loves music and tends to get sing-songy in her lessons. She hates the classroom, so she always opens the windows and sings to make the atmosphere more welcoming. In the greenhouse, she finds her little nook. When she’s alone, the starts singing. She uses her powers to water the plants and make music to carry her songs. Someone might say it is like a musical dance with flowers and watering cans. Her voice is high pitched and in order to reach the high notes, she slips into opera. That’s when others ask her to stop. She has a high tolerance for most of the things children and young people do, but cannot stand mindless damaging of plants, animals, people or property. When someone disagrees with her, she argues only to find understanding in their views. When none can be found, she gets angry and storms away, her companion hissing behind her. Most people find her ultimately delightful, even if utterly overdramatic.
History: Blabina grew up on a small island formerly known as Great Brittain, and she sounds like it. Her parents are a story to true love of your child. They both loved plants and gardening, and they used many chemicals to make their plants grow better. Baby Blabina spent many hours with her parents in the garden, and with the chemicals. The doctors and friends warned that her parents would one day kill Blabina if they did not change and get the chemicals out of her system. And Blabina did die, for just a moment, when she was five. When she woke up several minutes later, her parents found took her home and continued to raise her. They did, however, remove her from the garden for a while. As time went on, they found Blabina could control water and earth. By the end of a month, her third talent of telekinesis had evolved. Her parents were concerned, but also delighted. They watched her another month, then let her back into the garden. As she grew, Blabina and her parents worked to develop her talents and make them as strong as possible. However, none of them really knew what they were doing, so her full potential was never met. Her parents were also worried of what the neighbors would think, so they made Blabina keep her talents a secret. She dressed, played and ate like all the other “normal” children. She made many friends, went to school, sleep overs, sports games and the like. In high school, she started dating. Not many men wanted to date a chubby red-head, but Robert Short dared to be the first. Robert was a short, stout, funny man who loved home grown food. He and Blabina fell madly in love. But she could not stand to keep a secret from the one who made her so happy, so one night at her home, she told him everything and even demonstrated. Where one person might be freaked out, Robert was in awe. After much reflection, he decided it was not worth losing his lover. Two weeks after graduating high school, their parents consented to their marriage. For the first few years, things were tough. They had to live in an apartment, and the only gardening they could do was at Blabina’s parents’ house. Finally, Robert found a good job, climbed quickly, and the Shorts were able to buy a little house with a yard. Gardens quickly followed, including home grown food. That’s when the children started coming. She had three babies in five years – Rose, Lily, and Jr. Taking care of children proved to be a much harder task than taking care of plants. However, as the children were growing, Blabina was experimenting with plant genetics. She’d studied from books and online during their time in the apartment and before the children came. She was able to genetically alter a plant so that it would cradle a baby, spank a child, or restrain someone. These proved to be very useful as her children grew. They loved helping her in the garden and in the lab, and they hated being restrained, so they thrived to behave so they could help her. Well, fast-forward 20 years, and the youngest child was leaving home. It was painful to see Jr go, but also a relief. Now she could devote more time to her plants. She’d discovered many new species of plants and made many strides in the development of motorplants. She’d even made Eva and a few of her offshoots. Now she was about 40. Enter the mail carrier. Now Blabina was used to seeing her mail carrier, and the only thing strange about the encounter on this particular day was the envelope she’d received with a logo she’d never seen before: Ballarts school for the gifted. She read the invitation to teach and practice botany at the school. There was little to stop her. All three children were gone, but what would her beloved Robert think? He had no special abilities and the school surely would not be able to use him. Would they let him come on campus to live with her? She would not ask for any more space. Would he want to come. He would not have anything to do. Perhaps the school would let him be a grounds keeper or work in the kitchen. Well, she discussed all of this with him, but they did not reach any conclusions, only more questions. The next day, another letter with the same logo came. This one was commissioning Robert as a groundskeeper. This worked well for both of them, because Robert would feel out of place around so many gifted children with no gifts of his own. But Blabina could be her normal perky self and Robert could keep to the dark corners, which he almost always would. She’s been teaching for three and a half years now.
